Married for 35 yrs to a wonderful man whom I love more with each passing year. I love being a mother to 3 beautiful adult girls. I have a new son-in-law who has won my heart. I have a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Love my Savior dearly. And with the recent passing of my mother I am so thankful for the Plan of Salvation that makes it possible for this seperation to be for just a little while.
You hit the jackpot with your new son-in-law! It's great that you have a son to match your daughters: thoughtful, caring, and loving. Your Mothers Day book is a wonderful gift - blessed you.
What a wonderful M-Day gift!!! You do have some great children there!!!
And, I didn't put 2 & 2 together until reading your post, but I was feeling a bit down last week too. Guess it was b/c of M-day. I have that problem - where if I steal some time to do something for myself, I feel guilty for it. When does the mom-guilt end?
For me Cheree it was when they were grown and I saw how wonderful they turned out (although I didn't always feel guilt, I hope you don't either, it just seems to come and go sometimes)...... and you do have to take time for yourself, or you can't take care of others. I just always tried to look at myself and by honest about why I was doing something and would it help me to be a better person, wife, and mother....or was it just taking me away from my family. Did I come back a better person or was it just a selfish want....I'm not trying to preach so so sorry if it sounds that way! That's just how I determined what I would do. We all have to refill our cup to be able to fill others!
