Anne Marie came to town and we were so excited!!

Anne Marie came to town for Charlotte's baby blessing and we had such a good time getting to spend time with her, we miss her so much and wish she was closer, but we are grateful for the time when we do get to be with her!!

Picking up Anne Marie at the airport!!

First stop on the way home was to see Grandpa and Grandma Barbara.

That night we took Anne Marie out to dinner at Chili's and went to see the movie "Jack the Giant Slayer" which I was not so sure I would enjoy, but it was Anne Marie's pick, and guess what, it was amazing!  I could have done without some of the gross giant stuff....but they are gross giants after all!  Loved the way it ended!!

Then Saturday morning we got up to head to Tyler for the Weekend, but stopped at Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Art's so that Anne Marie could get to see them for a little while and catch up with them and we found out that she has been going to the range and shooting....so she and Art had a lot to talk about!

Stopping in Rowlett to see Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Art
That night after checking into our hotel, Grandpa and Grandma Barbara called and invited us to meet them for dinner at "The Olive Garden" where we had a lovely dinner and got to spend time together visiting.  Since the Rex's were only in town for the 2 days, we knew that this was there time to hold Charlotte and get to be with John and Allison so we just did our own thing until Sunday!

Waiting for our table at "The Olive Garden"

Sunday morning we all met at John & Allison's church and we were so happy that everyone who came made the special effort to be there.

After all the meetings on Sunday we all gathered at our hotel for a luncheon, it was delicious, but mainly it was just nice to get to be together and visit.

Allison is holding Ruthie, Jenni & Vaughn's little girl.  This is not Charlotte!!
Jenni has been an exceptional friend to Allison, I'm so grateful!

I'm one of those mothers who is happiest when all her little chickadees are around her so this weekend was a very joyful time for me and I know Alan felt the same way.  And the added bonus was that All the Rex's were here too, except David who is serving a mission!  It was a great family weekend.  And John did a beautiful job blessing Charlotte and presenting her name for the records of the church!!  And again, we appreciate very much all the family that made the effort to be in Tyler for this special time in Allison and John's life.  It was a great weekend.
