Tytan turns 12!!!

12th Birthdays are a very big deal....you graduate from primary at church, you get ordained to be a Deacon if your worthy, and you get to be involved in the bigger youth group at church!!  So we wanted to make Tytan's birthday a big deal and celebrate with family! We decided to have it at my home so that it would be closer for Dad and Barbara, but then Dad got really sick and couldn't even be a part of things....but we partied on and missed him greatly!  Even though it was sad that Grandpa could not ordain Tytan a Deacon, it was kind of special when he called and asked Alan to do it!  And we were planning on being there anyway, so it was no hardship and all and Alan was honored!!

We went to Tytan's ward, after our church was over and I could get dinner in the oven so that everything would be ready for later!  While we were sitting in R.S. (Elizabeth, Aileen, and I) Aileen kept holding Aunt Elizabeth's hand!  It was pretty special to see that Aileen and Aunt Elizabeth have a special bond!!  It was a neat moment for Elizabeth and for me to see how much Aileen loves her.  As always in RS when you are visiting they introduce you, so we told them why we were there and the RS President said, "I'm always so impressed with how your family supports Tytan and Logan" and I wanted to say...."where else would we be" and "doesn't everybody's families do the same"  now, I've lived long enough and experience enough in life to know that not everybody does....but its how our family rolls and I love it!!  At one dinner when Dad was talking to all us he said that Alan's family was an excellent example of how they are present at all things like baptisms, baby blessings, weddings, etc...and that I totally embraced the importance of family and followed the Brown's example.  Alan and his family have blessed my life greatly!

Uncle Alan and Tytan, such a proud moment!!

We all love this boy!!  Grandma and Grandpa Clay were so sad
That Grandpa was sick and could not be there!

Aunt Elizabeth who has been an amazing supporting mother figure to Tytan!
she was very proud and happy!
Then we all headed to my house in Fort Worth for the birthday dinner and celebration!!  Tytan is older now and had his eye on one curtain big gift so asked that we all give him money if we were going to do anything....so that made gifts easy!!  Love it!!  Elizabeth does so much for Tytan it is really quite amazing. She took him shopping to make sure he had a white shirt and tie for this special Sunday and so that he will be able to pass the Sacrament!  Our boy is growing up too fast!!
