Super Bowl!!

I was in Tyler last week helping Allison and John with Charlotte.  So Alan and Aileen decided to come to Tyler Sunday after church to watch the Super Bowl with us.  We usually have lots of goodies and have a little family Super Bowl party at our house!  I found out that Allison and John have made some really fun food for there Super Bowl parties in the past.  I did buy extra goodies so that we could eat them that night and feel like it was kinda a party!!  We were cheering for and hoping the Baltimore Ravens would win and they did.  And it was an exciting game....a little too close for my liking but really exciting when its down to the wire like that!!

We have also decided that Aileen might be a little jealous of Charlotte!  We are not sure what is going on.....but she really started screaming out and not calming down until we had to leave and head back to home.....but even in the car she was pretty loud and irritated so not sure what is causing this.  But I hope it gets better.  She did kiss Charlotte's head when I was holding her so I find it hard to believe that she would then be jealous.....but I guess we will find out as time goes on.

The good news is the electrical blackout during the Super Bowl made it so we got home in time to see the exciting nail biting ending.  But Aileen went crazy right before 1/2 time...so I missed Beyonce' and I have to say I was looking forward to seeing that.

I wasn't crazy about any of the commercials this year and a few quite frankly made me say "eeeww gross!"

The reason we liked the Raven's is because several players like Pitta and a couple others are LDS and my personal reason is because I wanted Michael Oher, the football player the movie "The Blind Side" was written about, to win the Super Bowl and get a ring!  And he did and I'm happy!

This was fun to find on Facebook from the BYU page as he is a former BYU player.  This was why Alan was happy the Falcons won!!

Also, my friend Cathy Hunter told me about a commercial that I missed while we were driving home.  I will say this was the best Super Bowl comercial by far...the Dodge Truck commercial with Paul Harvey.  I remember Paul Harvey, my parents loved him and listened to him all the time and as I got older I liked his commentaries too.  I went to the Internet to see this commercial and it was a good one! Thanks Cathy, you helped revive my love of Super Bowl commercials.

Here are some pictures from our mini family Super Bowl Party:

Oh, I miss her already!  I had so much fun being with her all week.

I only saw a few minutes of the Super Bowl, but read about - looked at - and applaud the Dodge truck commercial. It's a "feel good" ad - even if you aren't a farmer.
Go to YouTube "farmer super bowl commercial." Paul Harvey is the narrator (so obviously this uses an older soundtrack). We used to listen to him in "the olden days."
